As ocean lovers and coffee enthusiasts, we needed a home for Will & Co that reflected our approach. We opened our new headquarters in November 2019, located in Bondi Beach, Sydney. The hybrid, sunny space is half concept store, half boutique coffee roastery. It’s also used for training and education purposes, and is a place for the local community to host workshops and small events.
Designed by leading hospitality architects Alexander & Co, “the design collaboration explores our fascination and admiration for Will & Co’s entrepreneurial DNA, equal parts hustling artist, dogtown skater and creative innovator,” Principal architect Jeremy Bull says. “Our vision for Will & Co’s HQ was to create something familiar, yet new and unexpected.”
Steel joinery sets a backdrop for resin coffee counters and exposed painted brickwork. A Donald Judd-inspired pivoting partition hovers whilst the coffee grinder and bean sacks sit centrally with pride of place. The space is “unapologetic, direct and charismatic – like Will & Co,” Bull said.
Custom, artistic murals feature throughout the space, designed and installed by long-standing friend of the brand, WA-based illustrator Chris Nixon. The Bondi headquarters is also home to our custom Probat coffee roaster, featuring artwork from local Bondi artist Steve Smith. It’s a beautiful, chilled space – we love spending time in it, and we love seeing locals enjoy it, too.
